Over 60 years ago  (September 19, 1955) 

the streetcars of Winnipeg stopped running. The last streetcar operated by

Leonard Kolley left the Portage Avenue loop and arrived at the North Car

Garage at 2:45 am thereby ending nearly 73 years of streetcar service.
