Climb the stairs of the historic Winnipeg Union Station to tracks one and two where you will discover 37,500 square feet of railway history and artifacts. See the Countess of Dufferin - the first steam locomotive on the prairies - diesel and electric locomotives, rolling stock and maintenance-of-way equipment. Learn the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Canadian National Railway, the Hudson’s Bay Company and City of Winnipeg Railways and the history of women in railroading. Brian Darragh, one of the last Winnipeg streetcar operators, will be on site selling his book, "The Streetcars of Winnipeg: Our Forgotten Heritage" from 11:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on both days.
